Terms of service

How we work together.

Moto Web Works LLC · Florence, Kentucky · Last updated September 18, 2026

These terms describe how Moto Web Works LLC (“we,” “us”) provides website, logo design, and related services. Each project also gets a written scope and quote; where the written scope and these terms differ, the written scope applies.

Services

We design, build, improve, host-configure, and maintain websites, and we design logos, for small businesses, professionals, individuals, and creators. Package contents, add-on prices, and care plans are listed on the pricing and care sections of the homepage. Custom work such as SharePoint pages, content management systems, online stores, customer accounts, custom applications, complex AI workflows, advanced animation, and video production is quoted separately.

Prices and estimates

Prices are in US dollars. Military (active duty, reserve, veterans) and student customers receive 10% off one-time website charges, one discount per project, with eligibility confirmed when the scope is written; it does not apply to monthly care, hourly work, or separately quoted items. The online estimator produces a nonbinding estimate from the published prices; the binding price is the one in your written scope. Items marked “from” are starting prices confirmed after scope review. Third-party subscriptions, provider usage (including AI provider charges), domain registration, and applicable taxes are additional and billed to you directly or listed separately.

Process and payment schedule

  1. We discuss your needs.
  2. We send a written scope and quote.
  3. You pay a 50% deposit by secure invoice, and work begins.
  4. You provide content, images, and access to services you already use.
  5. We design and build; you review real pages.
  6. Two consolidated revision rounds are included in website packages.
  7. You give final approval and pay the remaining 50% before launch.
  8. We launch the site and hand off the agreed deliverables.

Delivery timing is confirmed in the written scope after we review requirements and receive the content and access needed. Delays in providing content or approvals extend the timeline accordingly.

Your content and responsibilities

You supply accurate text, licensed images, and the right to use any logo or brand materials you provide. Light polishing of your text is included; new copywriting is an add-on. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your business claims and for complying with laws that apply to your industry.

Revisions and changes

Website packages include two consolidated revision rounds within the agreed scope. Work outside the scope, additional rounds, or changes after approval are quoted separately or billed at $75 per hour with your agreement first.

Ownership and licenses

You own your domain name. After full payment you receive the agreed custom code and deliverables for your website, subject to the licenses of any third-party fonts, libraries, images, or services used. Owning the code does not automatically include a visual content editor; a content management system is scoped separately. Until full payment, deliverables remain our property and may be withheld.

For logo projects, the written scope defines the deliverables (for example, full-color and monochrome versions, transparent PNG exports, and vector files when included), the rights transferred to you for the final approved design, and any third-party restrictions such as font licenses. Rejected concepts, font licenses, and third-party assets do not transfer automatically. We don’t promise trademark exclusivity or provide legal trademark advice.

We may show completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing.

Hosting, accounts, and access

We recommend that registrar, hosting, and code-repository accounts are in your name with delegated access for us. Where we host or configure services on your behalf, the written scope says who holds each account and what happens at handoff.

Optional website care

Care plans are monthly, optional, and separate from ownership. Essential ($79/month) and Plus ($149/month) include the scheduled checks and editing time described on the care section; unused time does not roll over. Care is scheduled maintenance, not continuous monitoring, and no 24/7 service or response-time guarantee is offered. New pages, redesigns, logo work, major migrations, new features, marketing campaigns, AI usage and monitoring, Microsoft 365 administration, and third-party subscription charges are not included. Either of us can cancel care with notice before the next monthly billing date; cancelling care does not remove your website or your ownership of it.

Post-launch defects

For 30 days after launch we fix defects in the agreed deliverables at no charge. Changes to scope, third-party service changes, and content edits are not defects.

Cancellation and refunds

If you cancel a project after paying the deposit, we keep payment for work completed to that point, billed against the scope at the agreed prices or at $75 per hour, plus any nonrecoverable costs you approved (such as purchased licenses). Any unearned portion of your payments is refunded within 14 days of cancellation. If we have to cancel for reasons within our control, we refund any unearned balance on the same timeline. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

Limits

We build carefully and test what we deliver, but no website can be guaranteed to be free of every defect, to be uninterrupted, to rank in search engines, to generate leads, or to be immune from security threats. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits.

Third-party services

Booking, newsletter, AI, hosting, domain, and similar services are provided by third parties under their own terms and prices. We configure them as agreed but don’t control their availability or policies.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Questions about these terms: hello@motowebworks.com or 317-579-5420. See also the privacy policy.
